Ashley Plantation Swim Club now has a Swim Team called the Stingrays and we are looking for swimmers to join our team for the 2008 swim season. This swim team is a parent-run organization that promotes the sport of swimming by creating a positive experience for swimmers of all ages. Team swimmers must be a member of the Ashley Plantation Swim Club and be able to swim one length of the pool without swimming aids. Our swim season runs from mid-April when we do indoor tune-ups through the end of July. The team participates in six swim meets and the City/County Championship.

$5.00 per swimmer each session

Sunday, April 20 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Sunday April 27 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 4 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 11 - NO TUNE-UPS (Mother’s Day)
Sunday, May 18 2:00-3:00 p.m.

These tune-ups are optional, but recommended for anyone interested in
swimming on the team or even thinking of swimming on the team.

The Ashley Plantation Swim Team would like to welcome their new head coach,
Ashley Stoneham. Ashley is currently the swim coach at Lord Botetourt High School.
She brings a lot of competitive swimming experience to our team and we are looking forward
to a fun and successful season.
We would also like to welcome Ashley’s assistant, Paul Jennings, who is a graduating senior from Lord Botetourt. Paul has been on the Read Mountain Swim Team for many years and also brings experience to the team.
