Designed in 1999 by golf course architect Russell Breeden (Hanging Rock, London Downs), Ashley Plantation Country Club has been a Roanoke favorite for over 20 years. The course design plays to the strengths of the natural terrain, incorporating steep slopes and tee boxes poised for picturesque play. Once a 27-hole course, Ashley Plantation’s current 18 holes offer challenging, yet rewarding play that makes this public course feel like a private experience. In 2016, after over a decade of successful operation, The Bank of Fincastle acquired the deed to the course. Seeking to extend their reach into the greater Roanoke area, R&P Golf purchased Ashley Plantation in early 2018, adding it to a well-established family of successful courses.
